The Society was recently made aware that that hot weather and lack of maintenance by the authorities had led to the Monks Well becoming overgrown and the architectural details obscured by a giant buddlia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We’re happy to say that local councillor and society member, Laurence Sidorczuk along with a number of local residents who helped spent a few hours cleaning the well. They removed the overgrown planting and left some smaller planting nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
