An illustrated talk by Roger Hull

Bold Street started out as a Georgian residential street, but was transformed in a short time to a street wholly devoted to business - and in particular became the street renowned for its clothing outlets. Bold Street, however, changed with the times and adapted to new fashions and even today is a lively, bustling street, one of the few in the centre of Liverpool to retain a character of its own. Roger Hull mentions architecture in passing but concentrates on its economic and social growth. Come and find out about the Bond Street of the north!
