NEWS FROM THE WAVERTREE SOCIETY (Oct.2001)

Another Side of Wavertree
Tuesday 20th November, 7.30 pm, at Harold House
Jim Hart's slide show at the Blue Coat School in September came as a revelation to virtually all of those who attended. From the brash shop-fronts of Picton Road to the 'bluebell woods' and cottage gardens just off the High Street, Jim showed us the village we thought we knew - but in (literally) a new light. Those who missed it - or want to see more - are welcome to come along to Harold House Jewish Youth & Community Centre, in Dunbabin Road, Liverpool 15, on TUESDAY 20th NOVEMBER 2001 at 7.30 p.m.
Jim will be showing some of the highlights from his previous selection but - bearing in mind the venue - he will also be looking more closely at the eastern side of Wavertree, where it borders on to Childwall. (The historic boundary of Wavertree is nowadays followed by Queens Drive, Childwall Priory Road, and Gipsy Lane).
This meeting is OPEN TO ALL. There is no charge for admission, and we hope to see many new faces in the audience. The venue, Harold House, is just west of Queens Drive, between Woolton Road and the Fiveways.
