OLIVE MOUNT GARDENS
The landscaping of the new 'linear park' between Thingwall Road and Mill Lane is now almost complete. The official opening will take place on Saturday 30th June. The celebrations will run from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and the opening ceremony will be performed by Councillor Warren Bradley. During the summer the gates will be open every day from 8.30 a.m. till 8 p.m. (closing earlier as winter approaches) - a group of local residents having been appointed as key-holders. As reported in our Newsletter 156, the aim of the designers was that the gardens should represent 'a journey through life' - the main path representing the flow of a river.
