A visit for members:
THE NATIONAL WILDFLOWER CENTRE
on Sunday 15th June

We have arranged for a guided tour of the National Wildflower Centre, in Court Hey Park off Roby Road, on the afternoon of Sunday 15th June. Meet in the courtyard at the entrance to the building, ready for a 2 p.m. start. The tour will be led by Damian Young (Landlife's project manager) and will be followed by tea/coffee and biscuits at 3 o'clock. The all-inclusive cost will be £2.75 a head, payable on the day.

The National Wildflower Centre is clearly signposted, and has its own car park. Bus 61 (Halton Transport) from Picton Road/Childwall Road/Thingwall Road stops outside the park gates. There is also pedestrian access from Childwall Valley Road/Chelwood Avenue.

Our summer outing:
A COACH TRIP TO LANCASTER
on Saturday 26th July

This year we are heading north up the M6, to the historic city of Lancaster. Our hosts will be the Lancaster Civic Society, who will be guiding us round their city both by coach and on foot (in separate 'fast' and 'slow' groups). As usual our coach will pick up in Gateacre Brow (8.45 a.m.) and Lake Road Wavertree (9 a.m.), the cost will be £10 per person, and full payment in advance is necessary to secure your place.

The day will include an optional tour of Lancaster Castle, the cost of which will be £4 (payable on arrival).
