DECEMBER EVENTS

We take this opportunity to thank all members and friends for their interest and support during 2013, and to send Season's Greetings for Christmas and the New Year.

We have been notified of two local festive events taking place during December:

On Wednesday 11th (8 p.m.) there will be a Beer & Carols singalong in the Coffee House pub, Church Road North, organised by various Wavertree churches.

On Saturday 14th (4 p.m.) a group of Wavertree residents have arranged a Carol Concert at the Blue Coat School, Church Road (use clock tower entrance) with seasonal refreshments available, and activities for children before and after the carols.

CALENDARS FOR 2014

We have been reminded that 2014 is the centenary year of St Barnabas Church, Penny Lane. A Centenary Appeal is being launched to install new facilities, and to raise funds for this a souvenir full-colour calendar has been produced featuring the architecture of James Francis Doyle who designed the church and other prominent Liverpool buildings. Copies are available, price £5, from Guy Snaith (see below).

Please note that our own Bygone Wavertree calendar for 2014 is also still available, price £3 - along with our Christmas Card featuring Colin Pyle's painting of 'Wavertree High Street in winter'. Copies are available from Sheilagh Birch (see below).

Copies of the St Barnabas Church calendar may be obtained, price £5, by emailing Guy Snaith or phoning 0151 475 1675.

Copies of the Bygone Wavertree calendar may be obtained, price £3, by emailing
our Sales Officer Sheilagh Birch or phoning 0151 722 6265.

Further details of our Calendar
and our Christmas Card
