A COACH TRIP TO
THE POTTERIES
Saturday 23rd July
Our summer coach outing this year is to the Staffordshire Potteries. Our hosts will be the Potteries Heritage Society, who will be showing us heritage projects in Longton and regeneration projects in Stoke-on-Trent. The cost will be £15 a head, and Wavertree Society members wishing to come should follow the instructions given in their copy of the Newsletter.

Departure time from Lake Road, Wavertree, will be 9 a.m. (return by about 6.30). The coach will also be picking-up in Gateacre Brow (Black Bull) at 8.45, as the trip is being advertised to members of the Gateacre Society.

HERITAGE OPEN DAY 2016
This year's Heritage Open Days - nationally - are 8th to 11th September. In Wavertree, we shall be opening the Lockup on Sunday 11th September, 12 noon till 4 p.m., and encouraging other local venues to open on the same day.

We have already heard that the Royal School for the Blind will be taking part this year. If you know of any other Wavertree venue that has not opened its doors in previous years, but might be willing to do so, please ask them to get in touch with us for further information.
