The new Runcorn-Widnes road bridge will be opening to traffic in the autumn of this year. It is a key part of improving the transport infrastructure of the Merseyside area, enabling the expansion of both Liverpool Airport and the Port of Liverpool.
Keith Bold is one of about 30 community volunteers with Merseylink - the consortium who have designed and built the bridge and its associated roads, and will soon be operating it. His talk will cover the scope and benefits of the project, the construction methods which have been employed, how it will be paid for, what will happen to the existing Silver Jubilee Bridge, and where to go for further information.
All welcome - Admission free - Donations invited
