SHOP SHUTTERS PROJECT
A recent survey has indicated that there are about 50 businesses on the High Street/Picton Road (within the Wavertree Village Conservation Area) with security roller shutters, and of these about 50% are bare metal/unpainted. We are about to deliver a short questionnaire, asking whether the business owners support the idea of enhancing the look of the shutters, e.g. by applying colour in a co-ordinated way along the road, and perhaps incorporating an image, logo or 'artist inspired solution' to give the frontages a more attractive 'out of hours' appearance. We have a sum of money available that may allow a 'trial run', but much will depend on the feedback we receive.
