Our member Ron Martin is heavily involved with the Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society. He has also made a study of the history of public transport around Wavertree's Picton Clock Tower, and will bring his project books for us to look at. In addition he'll be showing a film, from the Alf Jacob collection, that we've not seen before: "Liverpool's Last Tram 1957", a professional film commissioned by Liverpool Corporation Passenger Transport.
The MTPS's Sales Officer will be in attendance, with a selection of postcards, books and DVDs. All proceeds from his sales will go towards tramcar restoration and maintenance.
ALL WELCOME - Admission free - Donations invited
