Sunday 20th October
Notice is hereby given that the 43rd Annual General Meeting of the Wavertree Society will be held at the Olive Mount Community Centre, Edgewell Drive, L15 8GG on 20th October 2019 starting at 2 p.m. All existing and prospective members are invited to attend. We anticipate a lively discussion about the future of the High Street, and other activities in which the Society is involved.

BLUE COAT COMMUNITY CHOIR
A new choir is to start rehearsing in Wavertree on 2nd October - in the Blue Coat School's magnificent Chapel - for a concert of popular classical pieces to be held on 29th January 2020. This concert, in the Shirley Hall, will celebrate the restoration of the school's Willis Organ. The choir, which is open to all, will be led by former Blue Coat pupil Dr Chris McElroy (Director of Music at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral) and accompanied on the organ by present-day pupil Daniel Greenway.
