	NEWS EXTRA: 'Love Wavertree' Update
	Love Wavertree is looking ahead to Christmas time, and planning a festival on Sunday 8th December... There will be another Community Conversation on Wednesday 16th October, starting at 6pm, at Bilail House, 260 Picton Road, Liverpool L15 4LP. Register your interest on Eventbrite. "What next for Wavertree? Come along and discuss a Christmas event, and a possible Beatles-themed Liverpool Show".
				Love Wavertree has also organised another Litter Pick. Meet at The Rose Garden on Sunday 13th October at 10.30am. If you have ideas or wish to be kept fully informed as to what Love Wavertree have in mind, send an email to lovewavertree@gmail.com Please note that the 'Community Conversation' with Liverpool City Region's Metro Mayor, Steve Rotheram, previously announced for Friday 11th October, has been POSTPONED.
	In the run-up to Car Free Day on Sunday 22nd September, the Liverpool Echo did its best to atone for its previously negative coverage of the Wavertree High Street area. Liam Thorp wrote an article about the Love Wavertree campaign on 21st September: "A group of ordinary people want to prove everyone wrong about their corner of Liverpool. Away from the division and hatred engulfing the country, a new Liverpool group is doing things very differently" You can read the whole article here Ronnie Hughes, in his 'Sense of Place' blog, was equally enthusiastic; and the BBC TV North West Tonight news bulletin on the Sunday evening was dominated by coverage of Liverpool's contribution to World Car Free Day.
