NEWS FROM THE WAVERTREE SOCIETY (Nov. 2000)

Our next meeting:
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
Wednesday 8th November, 7.30 p.m.,
at Wavertree Library, Picton Road.

Have you ever had to take anything back to a shop? Have you ever been unhappy with a holiday, or a meal in a restaurant? Was your problem resolved, or were you still left wondering what your rights were?
You can find out what your rights are by coming along on Wednesday 8th November to listen to Margaret O'Donnell, from Liverpool Trading Standards, who will provide you with advice and information on your rights as a consumer. She will also give us an insight into the work of her department, with some interesting and amusing tales to tell.
ALL INTERESTED ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND

VENUES FOR MEETINGS
We had a good response to our appeal for suggested future meeting places. Several of these are currently being checked out for availability. At the A.G.M. it was agreed that we should do our best to support Wavertree Library, and our next meting will be held there. However, we must warn members and visitors that toilet facilities are not available in the library.
