Andrew Richardson is the author of a number of books about Liverpool, including 'Well, I Never Noticed That!' (Parts 1 and 2). Andrew has spent many years researching the background to the sculpture which is publicly displayed on Liverpool's streets and which decorates the city's buildings, great and small. He has made some fascinating discoveries about the subjects depicted and the artists responsible.
On 10th November he will be showing a selection of slides illustrating some of the more interesting statues - old/new, familiar/forgotten, lifelike/abstract - and giving us an amusing as well as informative talk about them. The meeting takes place in the former Farriers' Restaurant at the rear of Wavertree Town Hall. (Car parking and level access available from Chesnut Grove).
We have asked Andy to bring along some copies of his books for sale on the night: Part 1 (statues) is £7.95 and Part 2 (decoration) is £11.95.
