ITEMS FOR SALE
It seems that Londis at 10-14 High Street are having difficulty in obtaining adequate supplies of the new 'Wavertree' book of archive photographs (see last Newsletter). However, they do have some more on order. Meanwhile copies are available at our meetings, and also from the Liverpool Cat Welfare charity shop at No.1 High Street. The special introductory price of £9.99 applies at all of these places - the normal bookshop price being £12.99.
You can also BUY THE BOOK ONLINE from AMAZON.co.uk
And don't forget that 'Discovering Historic Wavertree' (£4.95), the new Pevsner architectural guide to Liverpool (£9.99) and Wavertree tea towels (£2) - both the 'landmarks' and 'village pubs' versions - are all still on sale at our meetings. Please contact us for mail-order details.

See you at the A.G.M.?
As announced in the last Newsletter,
our Annual General Meeting will be held at
2 p.m. on Sunday 24th October
in Our Lady's Parish Centre, Chesnut Grove.
(Just off the High Street, opposite Prince Alfred Road).
Before the 'business' part of the meeting - which will hear the officers' reports and elect a Committee for the coming year - we shall be treated to a special showing of '79 Journeys', the recently premiered video by Andrew Sherlock and Brian Machin featuring contributions from several Wavertree residents
(see Newsletter 149).
