INFORMATION WANTED
We have been asked to help find pictures or information about two long-lost houses:
No.3 Larkfield View, off Picton Road.
This large house - which also served as the offices of Allanson's haulage company from the 1920s to the 1950s - was situated just behind the Magnet Cinema.
Wellington Lodge, Wellington Road.
This house - 'in a bad state' as long ago as the 1940s - was situated between the Barracks and a petrol filling station, south of the railway bridge and the old Wavertree Station.
Please contact our Local History Secretary, Mike Chitty, if you remember either of these buildings.
