On Sunday 9th September 2007 …
As part of HERITAGE OPEN WEEKEND

three buildings in Wavertree will be open free of charge to the public. They are:
The Lock-up, Childwall Road/Mill Lane, Liverpool L15, which we shall be opening between 12 noon and 4 p.m.,
Holy Trinity Church, where members of the congregation will be welcoming visitors from 12-5 p.m. (and also 2-5 p.m. on the day before), and
The Blue Coat School, Church Road, Liverpool L15, where the Trustees will be showing people round the newly-restored Board Room and Chapel from 12 noon to 4 p.m. (enter via the door under the School clock tower).

As usual, we shall have a variety of merchandise for sale at the Lock-up, and we shall be particularly pleased to welcome and talk to prospective members of the Society.

On Friday 14th September 2007 …
THE BIG HISTORY SHOW

opens at St George's Hall in Liverpool city centre. We shall be sharing an exhibition and sales table with our friends from Gateacre and Woolton. The table will be staffed by Committee members of the Wavertree Society on the Friday, the Gateacre Society on the Saturday and the Woolton Society on the Sunday.

Admission (opening times to be confirmed, but probably 10 a.m.-4 p.m.) will be via the new St George's Hall Visitor Centre in St John's Lane, and tickets will cost £2.

On Sunday 21st October 2007 …
The 31st ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

of the Wavertree Society will be held at 2 p.m. in the Olive Mount Community Centre, Edgewell Drive, Liverpool L15 8GG. We shall have the usual reports from the Chair and Hon.Treasurer, and elect a Committee for the coming year.
Anyone interested in joining the Committee will be very welcome to put themselves forward for nomination at the meeting, or by contacting our Hon.Secretary in advance.

In addition to the A.G.M. business, Diane Maddock of Cosmopolitan Housing will be talking to us about the aims of the Community Centre.
