Few people can be unaware of the new 'X shaped' museum at Mann Island - which has aroused a great deal of controversy since it was first announced. The steelwork of the building has now been erected, and the museum is due to open in 2010. The objective is to create one of the world's leading city history museums: a museum showcasing the history of Liverpool with sections devoted to the port, its international links, its people and its culture (including music and sport). Helen Robinson is the Community Consultation Coordinator of National Museums Liverpool. She will be telling us more about the project, seeking our views about what is currently proposed, and finding out what particular items we'd like to see included.
