A NEW DATE FOR
OUR 'TITANIC' TALK
Unfortunately our advertised speaker failed to appear on 21st March, having lost his appointments diary a short while earlier. We are very grateful to the two members of our audience who stepped into the breach and kept us entertained: Ken Johnson with his of-the-cuff (but very authoritative) talk about the Musicians of the Titanic, and Ron Martin who showed us Alfred Jacob's ciné film of Liverpool Tramways 1953-57.
We are pleased to announce that we have now re-booked Steve Binns for
Wednesday 6th June, 7.30pm
at the Olive Mount Community Centre,
Edgewell Drive, L15 8GG

As mentioned in our last Newsletter, Steve Binns MBE is Liverpool's community historian. He is well-known around the city for his guided tours of civic buildings, and his wide knowledge of Liverpool's 800 years of history. Steve will be talking to us about an event that took place 100 years ago: THE SINKING OF THE TITANIC.
ALL WELCOME - Admission Free (Donations invited)
DIRECTIONS TO THE MEETING VENUE: The Olive Mount Community Centre is situated on the ground floor of Monkswell Place, Edgewell Drive, Liverpool L15 8GG. Car access is from Thingwall Road via the mini-roundabout; and there is direct pedestrian access from Childwall Road. (Enter the building through the wooden gate at the south-east corner).
