NOTICE OF A.G.M.
The 42nd Annual General Meeting of the Wavertree Society will be held on Sunday 21st October 2018 in the Olive Mount Community Centre, starting at 2pm. The annual reports will be presented and a Committee will be elected for the coming year. If you are interested in being nominated as a Committee member, please let us know - or ask any existing member for information about what's involved. The meeting will end with a 'fun quiz' based on the past year's events, so, to be in with a chance, remember to cast your eye over the last 6 issues of the Newsletter before coming along! If you have any suggestions for future speakers or visits, please get in touch; we are always on the lookout for new ideas.

MYSTERY LITERARY FESTIVAL
A notable absentee from this year's Heritage Open Days programme is Holy Trinity Church. That is because the church is the venue for a special event the following weekend (22nd-23rd September): the very first 'Mystery Literary Festival'. Look out for local publicity, for further information.

BIG HISTORY SHOW CANCELLED
Sadly, the event scheduled to take place in the city centre on 29th-30th September, and in which we were due to participate, will no longer happen. The organisers hope to stage the event once again in 2019.
