Claire Moorhead writes: Friends of Williamson's Tunnels has been exploring the works and the written legacy of Joseph Williamson for the past 22 years. Painstaking investigations into local records has revealed something of the business life of our Georgian maker of tunnels beneath Edge Hill in Liverpool. Meanwhile digging has been carried out, with care, to reveal his impressive stone and brick caverns and to show their subsequent history in detail. There's lots more to be done, and volunteers are welcome. Visit the FoWT website.
