The Future of the Abbey Cinema

The former Abbey Cinema has been part of Wavertree for nearly 100 years. Since Co-op left and sold the site in 2023 it has been left abandoned – whilst also simultaneously becoming Grade II Listed.

The position of the Wavertree Society has always been to remain open to dialoge with anyone who has sustianable plans to bring the site back into use.

We are now asking our membership their opinions of the future of the former cinema. Please answer the questions below, notifying your preference.
