NEWS FROM THE WAVERTREE SOCIETY (Nov.2019):

'LOVE WAVERTREE' NEWS
When the #LoveWavertree campaign was launched earlier in the year, few people expected it to be so successful so quickly. Several Litter Picks have been held, as well as a series of Community Conversations at which ideas for future events and projects have been discussed. And of course there was the Car Free Day on 22nd September. What is striking is the range of people involved - young, old, established residents, newcomers to the area and business people. What they have in common is enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a pride in Wavertree.

The next big event is being billed as 'Wavertree Winter Wonderland' - in the High Street on Sunday 8th December, 10.30am-4pm - which promises live music, Christmas singing, stalls and crafts, lights, food, mulled wine and fun for the family. Once again we intend to open up the Lock-up to visitors, as we did on Heritage Open Day and Car Free Day in September, and we hope to see you there. Look out for local publicity, follow @LoveWavertree on Twitter, or email LoveWavertree@gmail.com
to receive the latest updates.
