The Wavertree Society's new calendar was launched on Car Free Day, and is proving very popular - the ideal Christmas gift! It features a series of colourful Wavertree scenes, captured by local artist Desmond Ross. These include Piggymuck Square, Bishopgate Street, the Monks' Well, Salisbury Terrace, Cambridge Street Mission and Holy Trinity Church.

We feel privileged that Desmond has allowed us to make use of his artwork, and to make it more widely available. The calendar is A4 size - ideal for posting - and spiral bound ready for wall hanging. The price is just £4.50, and it is on sale at Papa's Café Bistro (270 Picton Road, L15) and the Prince Alfred pub (77 Wavertree High Street).
